Scrapbooking is dying art – but it was vital for me at a dark time in my life
My love affair with scrapbooking dates back to 2015, or perhaps earlier.
It started off with making slam books: a school tradition back in 2000s India where kids would exchange scrapbooks asking their friends to sign them at the end of every school year. It was usually a double page spread for each person, including questions about where they lived, their nickname, dream job, favourite music, and so on.
But, although I liked the idea behind it, it started to feel like a chore. Slam books back...
An escape room is the ultimate relationship compatibility test
I love escape rooms. Whenever I move to a new city, the first thing I do is check whether there are any escape rooms nearby. Over the last four years – excluding the two lockdown-stricken ones – I have completed nine. From escaping a serial killer’s den to a Game of Thrones-themed puzzle room, you name it and I’ve probably done it. An escape room is where I’m at my nerdiest.
Each room is themed and designed differently, and has varying levels of difficulty. But the beauty of an escape room is...

F1's one-hit wonders: from Panis to Pastor – Part 1
111 drivers over Formula 1’s 72-year-long history have stood on the top step of the podium. While many have gone on to win multiple grands prix and even championships, not everyone has been so successful. Bested by their team-mates, being shackled by lacklustre machinery, affected by life threatening injuries and sometimes simply not good enough some have never been able to repeat their greatest day in racing.
Excluding the Indy 500 winners (which was included in the championship from 1950-60...
Jake Daniels is paving the way for queer athletes and fans like me who just want to belong
LGBTQI representation in sports is needed now more than ever, and the Blackpool FC forward has turned into an idol for many.
Jake Daniels publicly came out on 16 May, becoming the only openly gay active male footballer in the United Kingdom, because he wanted to finally “be himself”. A rainbow shone above us all, and it could not have come at a better time.
We would ideally like to believe that the world has moved on from the bygone era of homophobic slurs being tossed around and LGBTQI people...

A dream shattered: Sebastian Vettel deserved the Ferrari F1-75
Vettel wanted to emulate his idol, Michael Schumacher, and while not all dreams come true, he would have been dominant in Ferrari’s latest car.
It is no secret that Sebastian Vettel’s dream was always to drive for Ferrari in Formula 1. Before he even began his first season with Red Bull, the team he won four world championships with, the German made his intentions of driving for F1’s most historic team clear. In 2008, when he was still driving for Red Bull’s sister team Toro Rosso, Vettel told...
